Bicycle to Health

Use of a vehicle saves time but it prevents your body from exercising naturally and productively. So, one has to balance himself/herself between the two options. Health, being of primary importance, saving time gets the second priority. But still, saving time can not be ignored nder all circumstances. There is a vehicle which gives both the advantages of saving time as well as health. This vehicle is the bicycle.

Bicycle is a pedal-driven, human-powered vehicle Bicycling is a good exercise for legs and it helps in reducing belly fat - the initialization of most of the diseases in the body. Bicycle is not only convenient it is comfortable too. Needless to say that it is the most economical vehicle available to humanity.

A product of the 19th century, bicycles in the whole world number around 1 billion, twice that of the total number of automobiles in the world. In Netherlands, 27 percent of the total trips are made using bicycles and the number of women pedallers is around 55 percent. While people of affluent countries are rediscovering this as a novelty, poorer countries are ignoring it at the peril of their citizens' health.

A bicycle may conveniently be moved at an average speed of 12 km an hour and a person of average health can drive it continuously for about 3 hours without getting tired. Comparatively, an average pedestrian moves at a speed of 3 km an hour and can walk up a distance of 4/5 km without getting weired. So, if you have to move a distance of about 30 km and you can afford time, there is no better option than using a bicycle. Bicycle is a favorite vehicles for going on picnics.
